Winds of change
As you probably have noticed, we have had nationwide local elections in September. In Stavanger this resulted in a change of regime.
A new red-green coalition is forming a new majority, resulting in Kari Nessa Nordtun (The Labour Party) taking over as mayor after Christine Sagen Helgø (The Conservative Party).
The Consevatives have held this position since 1995, so Kari Nessa Nordtun will be the first Labour Party mayor in Stavanger for 24 years.
