Thank you, and farewell

In just a few weeks´ time, Christine Sagen Helgø (51) will revert to being Christine, as opposed to Mayor of Stavanger.

Her mayoral duties will be replaced by more light-hearted ones, weekend plans and more leisure time. Much has been said and done, and you can access a more in-depth picture right here of certain topics which have never been aired.

The Conservatives have been forced to renounce their mayoral seat to the Labour Party. A whole new package of costs and expenses for Urban Development has been agreed upon and new local councils are being created. It is fair to say that not everything has turned out as Christine Sagen Helgø hoped when she announced in August 2018 that she was stepping down as a mayoral candidate after serving for 20 years as a local politician. She has served eight of those twenty years as Mayor of Stavanger.
