Try out kayaking

Stavanger Kayak Club kindly host an introduction event for new expats in town at their nice facilities at Hundvåg, Stavanger.

If you are new in town and curious about kayaking, please join us for this event to test if you think this is a future hobby for you.  

This is an introduction event, and we will share information about safety, where to go kayaking, equipment and then a test on the water. The Kayak Club has wet suits and kayaks. Just bring a towel and a warm outfit.  The picture in this invitation is from our previous introduction class.  The Kayak Club attend with  8 - 10 instructors. This is an unique chance to test a new hobby.

Program:

18.00 Registration

18.15 Welcome by Stavanger Chamber

18.20 Kayaking for pleasure: safety, popular places to go for kayaking and basics about equipment, by Trine Nilssen

19.00 Dressing up for kayaking, and carry all kayaks to the fjord

19.10 Kayaking,  6 - 8 people at the time with their own coaches

20.30 Cleaning up, and bringing all kayaks back to storage.

21.00 Closing.

This event is free of charge and capacity limited. Please enroll with name, company and e-mail. We will forward a note a day upon the event. The target group for this event is adults.
