Hiking at beautiful Rennesøy
The hike to Rennesøyhodnet is about 6 kilometer as a roundtrip, located at 234 metre about sea level. Nice landscape, no climbing and a combination of walking on farmland and farmroads. The lengt of the hike will be around 2-3 hours depending on the group and conditions. An important mission for this hike is networking and become familiar with the area, ergo we will rather take our time and spend it well than rush along.
What to bring? - hiking boots or regular sport shoes, a wind breaker or rain gear, a small back pack with lunch and drinks.
Transportation: Bus nr 10 from Stavanger: Olav Vs gate (J) at 11.08
Rennesøy is part of Stavanger kommune, and you might use your regular bus pass. For others: buy a 24 hour ticket (train and bus) is NOK 85 for adults/ NOK 43 for children and students. Purchase a Kolumbus ticket here, or directly in the Kolumbus app.
If you have your own car: Parking lot for Rennesøyhodnet is named Hegglandslia, and the drive from Stavanger to Hegglandslia is about 30 minutes.
If we get extra time between hiking and bus departure, we might stop by Fjordbris hotel for a coffee or others (open until 17.00)
