A Community Conversation on Gender Equality and Inclusion

Solheim is the Vice- Rector for innovation and Society at the University of Stavanger. She is a Professor of innovation studies and a public speaker on diversity, inclusion, and innovation. Solheim has carried out research on diversity and innovation, combining insights from organizational theory, innovation studies and economic geography. She is particularly interested in understanding how innovation is inspired when a variety of diverse knowledge intersect, and the contextual factors affecting this association.

Chanda is a successful woman who has succeeded in building a leadership career in a completely new country, through conscious and hard work. She is originally from India and has solid experience in marketing and communication. Before Chanda was given a global management role in Laerdal Global Health, she was regional digital marketing manager in Laerdal Medical. When she lived in India, she also worked in marketing, and she has volunteered for TED X Stavanger. Today, she is also a member of the Stavanger Chamber of Commerce's resource group for Diversity.

Teti, a Salvadoran pilot and aerospace engineer, defied expectations by becoming a commercial pilot before even learning to drive. Her inspiring book, No Limits! The Salvadoran Girl Who Became a Pilot and Aerospace Engineer," shares her journey from a loving upbringing to surviving a plane crash. Teti now motivates others through conferences and workshops while working on technical innovations for the green projects in the Oil and Gas sector.

Marike Stassar, a Dutch/Norwegian, holds a PhD in medical science and possesses more than 20 years of leadership experience across small businesses, large corporations, non-profits, NGOs, and academia. She currently serves as the President of the Professional Women’s Network Norway (PWN) to accelerate gender-balanced leadership.
