They plan to capture the world market with their batteries based largely on sawdust and sand. Production is set to start this autumn in the premises previously owned by Schibsted Trykk, and work on planning a full-scale factory in the region is already well underway.

“Through a patented process which we have carefully developed in-house, we have tested several sources such as old newspapers, paper and general waste. However, it is the wood chippings from Norwegian spruce and pine trees specifically which have proven to have the perfect composition. They are actually world-class”, explains Founder and General Manager Svein Kvernstuen.
