NAV Rogaland has important information for companies where redundancies or dismissals will be necessary due to the Corona virus.
In the following days and weeks NAV will be inundated with inquiries from employers needing assistance and guidance regarding the correct handling of lay-offs and dismissals. Here is some advice and recommendations enabling a good process for everyone involved.

Notice of redundancies have to be reported to NAV. Form NAV 76-08.03 must be sent by email to NAV Marked Rogaland. Companies in North-Rogaland (north of Boknafjorden) send form to: email@example.com
Information for employees facing redundancy
Employees who have been given a redundancy notice should not contact their local NAV office. Updated Information on nav.no. All claims to be done digitally or by mail. It is very important the employers have given employees facing redundancy the necessary documentation in order for NAV to process unemployment benefit claims efficiently.
Important attachments needed for claims:
-> Notice of redundancy (Permitterings varsel)
Notice must include date, notice period, reason for redundancy, degree of redundancy and length of redundancy.
-> Work contract or confirmation of employment
Confirmation of work must include: start date, percentage of employment, information regarding work hours/skifts/rotation/
Example of confirmation of employment:
Ola Nordmann has worked for the company as an accountant since January 2008. He has held a full-time position with ordinary working hours.
