The Stavanger region has a fast-growing financial sector, including venture capital funds with increasing available funds. Stavanger Chamber of Commerce has its own Finance resource group consisting of a range of financial institutions working together since 2001 to create a strong financial hub in the region. They hereby invite finance master students and businesses to a social evening where the discussion will be around future job possibilities in the finance industry as well as discussing interesting topics for a master theses in finance.

Frances Eaton has a law degree from the University of Bergen and Victoria University of Wellington. She has over 14 years of experience from asset management as Head of Business Support and Compliance and a Business Development Strategist from SKAGEN Funds, CEO of Nansen Capital Partners and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Nysnø Climate Investments. At Nysnø she works with legal and compliance issues, ESG, communication, policy and is Board Secretary, showing the broad career opportunities you can find in finance.
Carl Fredrik has a degree in economics from NHH in Bergen (2005). He has worked in banking and finance for 15 years, mainly in areas such as risk and liquidity management. For the past 5 years, he has worked in Sandnes Sparebank's treasury department responsible for the bank's funding and management of financial assets.
Ms. Nilsskog joined the graduate programme in 2019 after completing a MSc in Finance at the Cass Business School in London. Ms. Nilsskog has experience from several summer jobs whilst studying for her degree.
Ms. Huseby joined the graduate programme in 2019 after completing a BSc of Science in Finance at Peter J. Tobin College of Business, St. John’s University.
Bernt Arne Ødegaard is a Professor of Finance at the University of Stavanger (UiS). He has a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University (1992). He has previously taught at the Unversities of Illinois (Chicago) and British Columbia (Vancouver), the Norwegian School of Management BI (Oslo), the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), and Copenhagen Business School (CBS), and has been with the Norwegian Central Bank’s research department.
