There is an ever-growing body of empirical evidence showing that mindfulness can help us self-regulate our moods and thoughts, become more resilient in the face of stress and challenges, make us more productive and effective, and restore a sense of calm and balance to our lives.

This introduction to mindfulness workshop will combine mindful meditation exercises with an overview of the theory behind how this practice leads to real and sustainable change. The work shop will be  held by Dr Nicola McCaffrey, clinical psychologist.

About This Workshop:
The workshop consists of one 90 minute session that will incorporate some information as well as a few formal guided mindfulness practices. You will leave with...

• A better understanding of what mindfulness is and how it can be trained
• Insight into the science of how it changes not only our minds, but also our brains
• An understanding of how we can focus our attention on the present moment and not get swept up in worrying or negative thoughts about the past or future
• Practical tools to incorporate mindfulness into your everyday life

No prior mindfulness experience or knowledge is required to attend this free of charge workshop.
