The law firm Thommessen Advokatfirma in Stavanger will present an introduction to Norwegian employment law, touching upon the employer's information and consulting obligations towards employees, forms of employment in Norway, the employer's right to manage their employees and termination. Thommessen will be represented by lawyers Stein Kimsås-Otterbech and Trine Vabø who will both present and be available for questioning and discussions.

Trine assists Norwegian and international companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, as well providing general legal advice concerning corporate law. She also has experience within employment law and provides legal advice for Norwegian and international companies in connection with transfer of undertakings, re-organisations and the moving of employees cross border.
Stein has extensive experience with employment law and as a litigator. He assists Norwegian and international clients on all aspects of employment law with a particular focus on dispute resolution, restructuring and downsizing, hiring and dismissal of employees, and issues related to pensions. Stein is the head of Thommessen's employment department, and he is frequently used as a lecturer. He also has in-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations.
