Learn about The Norwegian culture, and how you understand the unwritten "laws" of communication.
Every culture has its own way. Different way of communicating, body language and humor. At this event we will try to share some common denominator in Norwegian culture.

  • What is culture? And Norwegian culture?
  • How to implement values according to expectation
  • The unwritten "laws" of communication
Key note speaker is Nina Gjestvang-Knutzen. She has a Master in Sociology with subsidiary subjects in Anthropology and Psychology - and is also a NLP (neuro linguistic) coach practitioner.

The Job Search meeting series is an offer for everyone who has recently arrived in the Stavanger region and is eager to learn more about job opportunities and working conditions. We invite speakers who will open you up to different aspects of the work sphere in Norway.

Nina Gjestvang-Knutzen

Nina Gjestvang-Knutzen is the head career supervisor in YNO (yrkesrettet norskopplæring) in Lingu Stavanger.
Her work career consists of 29 different jobs - mainly due to her approach on life long learning, and the experience that every step out of your comfort zone gives you a new perspective and knowledge.
Her firm belief is that perspectives give you the ability to cope and master different expectations within different social and working environments. Since 2008, she has worked within the educational system: children with different learning abilities, refugees in introduction program, as a supervisor in Nav and supervisor in Lingu since April 2021.
