Happy New Year with the mayor

DIGITAL CONFERENCE: What's on in the Stavanger-region for the upcoming year?

This event will focus on living and working in the Stavanger-region, upcoming activities, and how we all could get involved in further development. Our keynote speakers are Mayor of Stavanger, Kari Nessa Nordtun, Stavanger kommune,  Inger Johanne Stenberg, ONS and Jun Seob Kim, Beyonder.

The Stavanger-region is home to 181 nations;  working in sectors as education, energy, health, hotels, restaurants, the Symphony Orchestra to mention some. Being such an international hub has a great value for international business and development.

This event was supposed to be an active networking event too,  but due to Covid we will start with a digital conference to share information, and hopefully we will be able to meet soon again.

We will send a link for login a few hours before the event.

For more information, please contact Inger Tone Ødegård

This event is free of charge, but you have to enroll. Please use you company/ University e-mail address if you have one (then your company name will be visible on the participant list) Networking is always in important part of events at Stavanger Chamber of Commerce.

Inger Johanne Stenberg

Inger Johanne Stenberg is the Communication Director for the energy conference and exhibition ONS in Stavanger. She moved to Stavanger 12 years ago to work in a trade magazine for oil and gas, and has since worked in the national broadcasting company, NRK Rogaland, for six years and the PR-agency Gambit H+K for four years. She has studied Russian language and politics in Oslo and St. Petersburg and been an intern at the Norwegian embassy in Riga. She moved to Stavanger with a limited network available, but has since married a local, bought a house and has plans for staying in Stavanger. Maybe forever.

Jun Seob Kim

Kim is a Senior Engineer at Beyonder involved in materials and testing. Whilst it has only been 9 weeks since his move to Norway, Scandinavia is not new to him, having spent the better part of a year in Uppsala for his studies. Much of his career has revolved around energy storage technology – working on flow batteries in Singapore; graphene in Taiwan; battery manufacturing in Malaysia; and Cathode materials in Korea. Now at Beyonder, Kim is amongst like-minded, driven people to realize some very challenging technologies.
