Fishing and cooking a summer meal

A traditional Norwegian summer meal is Macerel and cucumber salad and cold rhubarb soup. Please join us for this unique event with a nature and food entusiast, Iver Jan Leren.

Some of you have been participating fishing for the first time, fishing at sea, and it is about time to cook and prepare a real summer meal outdoors. 

We meet at Trollskogen, Selhundveien 33, 4085 Hundvåg. It is a very nice area for hiking, playing, swimming and fishing. More information about Trollskogen.

You bring your fishing gear, and we will fish from land until we have at least a couple of mackerel (or something else).  Chef Iver Jan will teach us how to prepare fish filets, and share traditions and recipes.

We will also bring rhubarb soup, making sure everyone is able to taste. Nature around Hundvåg is amazing, and in addition to fishing and cooking, we might go for a shore walk to learn about new attractive hiking areas.

Please wear proper clothing for outdoor use, something to drink and  a small snack.

Transportation:  Bus stop about 300 meters from the venue, parking lot for cars close by.    We can't guarantee sun, but the evenings are bright and magic anyway.
